October 6, 2020, All Day @ Virtually and in your own yard
In lieu of the traditional Night to Unite event and festivities this year, the City of Chanhassen, Chanhassen Fire Department, and Carver County Sheriff's Office will observe Night to Unite all day Tue., Oct. 6 with virtual activities designed to teach safety practices to the community. While organized neighborhood visits will not take place this year, Chanhassen will still celebrate community and highlight safety with Chan Unites, a virtual celebration featuring safety videos and an interactive web-based app created by the Fire Department for families to use to learn more about fire safety. Families and friends are encouraged to post photos and videos depicting what they've learned tagging #ChanUnites on social media. In addition, residents who hold their own modified version of Night to Unite in their yards are asked to post pictures share with others, also using the tag #ChanUnites, and keep the porch lights on all night as a sign of unity in our city.
